Matthew Reilly

i walked into a class yesterday morning at 10am.
only to realise that actually my class was at 11am.
......
so silly.

Read
Chel's review (or sort of review) on Hover Car Racer and u'll be inspired to read the book!
The first Matthew Reilly book i read was "The Temple"- and i have been an adoring fan of his works since then. His fast paced thrillers, plus his ability to bring his characters to live on the pages have really captured his readers. He has a large fan base. My brother and myself included. I've read every book he's written since, and i'm looking forward to his latest one- "Seven Ancient Wonders"- gonna be released in October.

Check out his
official webpage.
In the books- Scarecrow, Ice station and Area 7- the main protagonist Marine reconaissance lieutanant Shane Schofield is Jon's fav character. he's a quick-thinker, great leader and is a fiercely loyal friend.

Contest is really a Sci-fi flick. It's currently being filmed and will probably open middle or late next year. It's a great galactic competition-- aliens and all. I think most would find that repelling, i thought i would too. But after reading the prologue i cldn't put the book down. It was a great read.

The Temple cld be considered my favourite book of all time. Instead of one action packed book, Reilly decided to write two stories in one. The twin threads of the story weave themselves together, all the while coming closer to the cataclysmic finale. One story follows the adventure of William Race and the team of US Army soldiers - the other leads us on a journey through 1535, the time of the Spanish Conquest of the Incas.

Key line in the book "SOme doors are meant to remain unopened"
